About Peter

Peter’s a freak who loves movement.  Roadtrips fill that need often and he’s looking forward…….

ARRGHHHH!!!  I can’t do it!  I can’t write about myself in the third person!

I love roadtrips and have been wheeling around the great Pacific Northwest since before I can remember.  Then, from the moment I was allowed to take the family car further than the mall, I have been enjoying the open roads of the West (as well as the backroads).

A chance to drive to Chicago for the Travel Blog Exchange 2009 Conference first sounded like a crazy idea, which is why I was so enamored with the mere thought of more time on the road.  I had never met Pam or Kelly before we started planning even the basics of this trip but we all share a love for travel, blogging and, as far as I can tell, breathing.  What more is there to life!!??!   I have semi-live blogged trips to Peru and other locations in the past and look forward to sharing a trip with others who have a love for writing and, as mentioned, breathing.

If I’m not out on the road, I also love hiking, climbing, diving, computers, playing in dirt, offroading, exploring, learning, music, more breathing.  Those kinds of things.  I also like monkeys.

I maintain my own blog over at The Carey Adventures that helps combine one of my other passions in life; photography.  Wow…..a chance to see a huge chunk of the country, write about it and take plenty of pictures of this great nation.  I’m getting all tingly again.  Photography is also a profession for me, with more and more work being posted to Hidden Creek Photography all the time.

I also write regularly for Digital Photography School, a wonderful blog to gain all kinds of photography tips and tricks for the beginner and advanced photographer alike.  Oh yeah, and I do this too.
